Totally flexible Six lesson Acrylic painting course
Six four hour lessons over a period to suit you. This course provides a flexible learning opportunity for those that find it difficult to commit to a fixed weekly course. This course is totally flexible, you choose the days and frequency to suit your calendar and availability. (Booking will be required in advance to enable preparation of equipment) All materials will be provided (you may use your own if you prefer) tea and coffee will be supplied, you will need to provide your own lunch or use the market food outlets. Lesson times will normally be 10:00-12:00am 1:00-3:00pm with a 1 hour lunch break, (of course these times are also totally flexible and can be rearranged at booking)
Cost for the six lesson course is £200 (inclusive of all materials) which gives excellent value for money at just £33 per 4 hour lesson.
**Payment for the whole six lesson course will be required at booking and will not be refundable unless cancellation is more than 7 days prior to the agreed start of the course**
This course would normally extend over six weeks so places are limited to 4 participants per six weeks this is to allow for the possibly of all four booking the same day.
This course although flexible must completed within six weeks of the first lesson.
Basic acrylics for beginners. Learning about the medium and the different ways it can be applied. This is a hands on session with demonstrations and practicals. You will learn how to apply, mix, control and manipulate acrylic paint.
Planning. This lesson concentrates on the planning of your finished painting, includes under painting, sketching and the different types and preparation of painting surfaces. You will be provided at this lesson with a canvas board which we will prepare, plan and sketch for use in lesson 5.
Painting skies. You will learn the basics of painting skies and how the desired result can be achieved in various ways. You will use your learning to produce a basic landscape concentrating on the sky in the composition.
Painting water. This lesson will provide you with various ways to paint water in a scene, seas, rivers etc both still and moving including waves and white water. Demonstrations and participation will be used to provide practical experience.
This lesson will be a purely practical painting lesson giving you the opportunity to put your previous learning to use by painting the canvas board produced in lesson 2. Coaching will be available during the lesson to provide hints and tips on anything that may arise that has not already been covered.
Your day to sketch and paint anything of your choosing. You will receive one to one coaching and feedback at the close of the lesson. The objective at the end of lesson 6 is to have provided you with all the necessary knowledge for you to continue with acrylic painting at your own leisure.
